GO WGC SHARKIES

Sharks Netball has been a fighting force in Cairns Netball for over 10 years. Originally formed by a group of friends, the club has grown to become one of the premier clubs in Cairns. The club is founded on friendship, fun and fitness. Sharks Netball work hard at building a strong social culture to our club. We encourage players to support each other not just within their own team but across divisions and across age groups. All teams regardless of level are coached and train. The club aims at improving player' netball ability but having plenty of fun at the same time...

Sharks season has begun...

Well the kick off to the 2012 season is finally here. After plenty of training and grading games we can get down to business and play some netball. WGC Sharks are extremely excited for this season. We have a number of new girls in both seniors and juniors and are fielding 5 junior sides and 5 senior sides, the most teams for a number of years.

Your wonderful support ensures that Sharks can put on clinics, bbq's and buy new equipment and uniforms for our players.

Cherie Horan 2008 Sharks Netball Club president

Cherie Horan has netball in her blood. She has just topped off 10 years as founding member of the WGC Sharks Netball Club with another grand final victory two weeks ago.

Cherie was awarded by the players the inaugural life member of the club in August and even met her husband Glenn at a mixed indoor netball game.

2012 Sharks Clinic and Family Day

2009_summary_2502012 WGC SHARKS Junior Clinic and Family Fun Day

WGC Sharks Netball Club are hosting the annual Sharks Junior Clinic and Family Fun Day on Sunday 20th May at 9am - 12pm at the Martyn St Courts.  

The Sharkis Seniors will be putting on a netball clinic for our juniors. The clinic will cover shooting, centre court and defence skills. Parents are encouraged to attend the clinic as well as to learn more about our game.

The clinic will also be combined with a Parents vs Kids game and a BBQ.
