2009 Season Summary

The 2009 Cairns Netball Winter season proved to be very successful for WGC Sharks Netball.
Seven out of 9 teams played in the semi finals, with 5 progressing to the preliminary finals. We were very proud to have three teams play in the grand final series with premierships going to WGC Sharks 2, WGC Sharks 5 and WGC Sharks 6.

IT is not often a coach admits a loss is a good thing but Cherie Horan says Sharks' defeat by Leprechauns 2 three weeks ago did more good than harm in their quest for the 2008 Cairns Netball Association premiership.
